The American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) recently announced the recipients of the 33rd Annual Excellence in Concrete in Paving Awards. Marshfield business Trierweiler Companies was honored in the “Reliever & General Aviation Airports” category for their work at Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee, Wisconsin. The project involved runway reconstruction and associated taxiway improvements.
“This award is confirmation and validation that we are doing great work,” said Scott Trierweiler, President. “This project had a very challenging schedule with a tight timeline and there were design changes and materials challenges that we encountered – but we completed the job on time and were recognized for our efforts.”
For over 30 years, the awards program has recognized the contractors, engineers, and project owners responsible for the country’s most outstanding concrete pavement projects. Award winners will be celebrated during the Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards banquet on Thursday, December 1, during ACPA’s 59th Annual Meeting.
This year, the Association recognizes 26 award-winning projects and the hard work, outstanding quality, and creative approaches to problem-solving demonstrated by project partners. In all, ACPA congratulates 19 unique contractors whose exceptional projects span 11 affiliated Chapter/State Associations. ACPA also expresses appreciation to the 35 professionals who served as judges of the award submittals, reviewing nomination details and scoring the projects.
